Love is in the Air

Friday Letter Feb 13 2009

We have had quite a week..well, week and a half. Our trip to Disneyland, with just the adults (Farley's, Campbells, and Sly's) was awesome. But I really loved being with Barbi most of all. Even though it rained both days we were there, Thursday and Friday Feb 5-6, we just put on the rain poncho's and had a good time. Friday, Feb 6 was Barbi's birthday, so the first thing we did after entering the park, was go get her a birthday button. She got lots of well wishes throughout the day from the staff. Even Goofey knelt down and worshipped her! I wish I could have gotten a picture of that! Coming home was necessary, but we wish we could have spent a little more time together. Withdrawls for me have been severe this week. Barbi doesn't think I have time to miss her. If she only knew! Sunday, Church was fun, because Holli and Steve talked. Holli says she does not speak well, but she just kept on talking. Thankfully, she left steve with 10 minutes. Silly girl.

Holli and Missy put together a Sunday birthday dinner for Barbi. That was fun. But since I wasn't home to help the kids buy birthday presents for Barbi, it was just a dinner. I feel bad for not making it a better day. In the past, I have planned all kinds of fun things. I have tried to make it up a little during this week, buying presents the kids could give her. Krista and Mina gave her a $10 card to Jamba Juice today. I bought her a new Disney Sweat jacket at Disneyland. The little kids still need to get her something. Anyone know how I can bottle up complete happiness and give it to her?

Last night, we had a ward Valentines dinner/dance. Barbi and I used our wedding decorations to make the place look a little magical. Lights hanging from the ceiling. The gazebo setup for couples pictures. Center pieces, trees, fencing, decorative furniture. It turned out pretty good. She and I worked from about 1pm to 4:30 doing the set-up. WOW! Lots of work. We were wiped out last night, getting into bed at 11:15. I couldn't get to sleep til way past 12:30am. I had a rather fitful night, with my back hurting. Can you say energy drink this morning?

So Valentines Day tomorrow! A romance day. What is romance? I would love to really learn the meaning. Love is:

Devotion

Passion

Respect

Desire

Rememberance

Fidelity

Not wanting to be apart...Missing when we are

Unselfish

Happiness

Sharing

Listening

Helping

Scheming to find alone time.

holding hands...everywhere!

Touching

Supporting during the stressful times

Hoping for an eternity together
